Farm2Chef · Drivers

The route is yours. The math is on the table.

Drivers are how farm food reaches the city — meal-prep Mondays today, chef and farm routes as the platform grows. Every route lives on your board: the map, the stops, the contacts, and exactly what it pays. No guessing, no chasing anybody for numbers.

The board is drivers only — it opens after you're hired and cleared, never just for signing up. How driving here works ↓

How pay works

$12/hr + 70¢ per mile

The Monday window is 5:00–8:00 PM (3 hours). Mileage is the real routed distance, computed stop to stop — you see it on your board before you roll, not after.

Pre-deposits & balances, visible

If the company fronts you a pre-deposit, it sits on your ledger in plain sight. Each route draws against it line by line, so you always know what's covered and what's due.

More routes as we grow

New chefs and clients add routes. They appear on the board as open routes — claim the ones that fit your week. First onboarded, first offered.

The Monday route (the standing run)

Pickup at the kitchen → two household deliveries in Houston. About 9 miles routed, roughly 20 minutes of driving inside the 3-hour window — the rest is handoff time, done right. Client names, addresses, and contacts never appear in public — they live only on the assigned driver's own board, behind their login.

Live count: two household deliveries in Houston this week.

How driving here works

  1. Apply here. Tell us who you are and when you can drive. Applying does not open the driver board — nobody can click their way into routes.
  2. Screening + paperwork. A background check and driver-record check run through Homebase, paid for by us, and your W-9 comes on file. Client details stay invisible until you're cleared — that's the privacy rule, and it protects you too.
  3. Activation email. When you're cleared, Rio emails your sign-in steps: create your free account with the same email you applied with — that's the login your board attaches to.
  4. Your board unlocks. Your assigned routes — map, stops, pay — appear on your board, and only there.

Onboarding runs through the platform, like everything else. Already hired and just need your login? Skip the form — your activation email has your steps, or message Rio.

You're offline. Pages you've opened still work; anything that saves or sends will go through when the connection returns.
